Copper Street is a mobile app that uses gamification, stock fractions, and social components to make market education and stock market investing easier and more fun. Daniel Kulvicki, co-founder and CEO, got the idea for this concept after getting into fantasy football. He saw how the gamification of the sport for outsiders allowed millions of people to learn and understand the details of the sport in a way that only the professionals had before. He decided he wanted to bring that kind of interest and enjoyment to the stock market.
“Copper Street is the street between Wall Street and Main Street. We’re going to bridge that gap.” – Daniel Kulvicki, CEO
Copper Street aims to educate the layman on the ins-and-outs of stock market investing through games that allow them to “invest” a virtual currency, news and trivia games that quiz them on the key points and terms of the stock market, and even the ability to team up with friends and family to create a “league.” Copper Street allows individuals and groups to learn to manage their own savings and investments knowledgeably instead of handing off their finances to the “big boys.”
